THE POCKLINGTON BRANCH
The Imagination Library was started in Sevier County, TN in the USA in 1996 by Dolly Parton, it has now spread across the USA, into Canada and then in 2007 it came to the UK.
There are approximately 14 branches set up in the UK now and George Jibson, who is still only at school, is making Pocklington the next!!! Each child will recive a book a month, through the post from birth until they are 5 years old. That is 60 books!!!! Whats more, the books are brilliant too. Its the most amazing charity.

Dove House Hospice is a charity providing excellent care for people in the local community with life limiting illnesses. We are specialists in palliative care which is the total care of patients whose illness is no longer curable and for whom the goal must be quality of life.
There is no charge for any of their services as Dove House Hospice is maintained by funds raised in the local community and support from the local Primary Care Trusts.
